We aim to get young people, who are eager to work and learn, to become economically active leaders as employees or entrepreneurs.
Our main focus is unemployed youth skill development, employability, training & placement.
We screen and connect unemployed young people with skills development training and tertiary courses.
We fund registration and training fees of qualifying candidates.
We organise skills workshops or/and collaborate with training providers that improve skills such as job-readiness, specific entry –level “trades”, to start own business, etc.
We mentor the youth while we walk with some as their “life coaches”.
Local organizations have confirmed that most young people from struggling communities face significant challenges in finding employment after leaving school. They often lack necessary skills and parental support to enter the formal economy without guidance from "life coaches". These youth require strong personal life skills, a positive job-readiness attitude, and a solid foundation in employability. To address this issue, our new partnership initiative will prioritize teaching basic technical skills such as mechanical, electrical, construction, and DIY maintenance. We aim to develop a practical training facility in collaboration with a local former business and other partners. The lack of understanding regarding the rights and responsibilities of both employers and employees is evident in a highly competitive business sector. Without these attributes, employers are often reluctant to offer permanent positions or renew contracts, perpetuating unemployment and poverty.
