Creating Opportunities
We work on a ‘pay-it-forward’ model in order to enact and implement the change that we envision across
our nation.
At Sakha Amathuba, our mission is to address a growing youth unemployment problem. We believe in “teaching people how to fish”. In doing that, we can change our communities and families for the next generation.
We partner with various institutions to address the lack of skills in our workforce. Specifically the youth. We facilitate in-service training in different sectors, provide access to training institutions and as a result, creating sustainable employment for our beneficiaries.
This model implies that funding will be found to achieve our objectives. The institution can then decide
if they want to buy into the vision of SAKHA AMATHUBA and contribute funds that will help implement the program in another institution.
Our objectives include addressing unemployment, promoting employability through occupational skills training,
providing qualifications for the unskilled, and fostering new entrepreneurs.
Education and Development
We aim to establish and promote education and development initiatives that will contribute to the socio-economic development of our communities and nation. Our goal is to promote entrepreneurial development initiatives, community education projects, and activities that aim to build capacity for sustainable, long-term economic growth. This includes offering scholarships, bursaries, and awards for study, research, and teaching, as well as providing training for unemployed individuals to help them secure employment.
Welfare and Humanitarian projects
Community development for impoverished individuals and anti-poverty initiatives, including promoting community-based projects focused on self-help, empowerment, capacity building, skills development, and anti-poverty efforts. Providing training, support, or assistance to community-based projects and emerging micro enterprises to enhance their ability to start and manage businesses. This may also involve offering loans under conditions specified by the Minister through regulations in the Gazette.
Funding and Resources
We aim to provide funding, assets, and other resources to support our main objectives. This involves generating and distributing funds through business and private social development spending. We also seek to encourage institutions to contribute funds to help implement programs in other institutions. Additionally, we aim to develop and support the establishment of Community and Incubation Centers to achieve these goals.
